About

Dale Keith

Dale is a Calgary-based craftsman specializing in fine woodwork. His creations span the range from unique breadboards, rolling pins and wine racks to wooden buttons, ornaments, wine stoppers and more. He has also been know to take on a custom project or two.

He has been working with wood all his adult life. When not in the shop and covered in sawdust he is also an avid sailor and curler.

His work

Dale rarely uses “new” wood, preferring to work with rescued and/or recycled wood—offcuts, discards and materials that otherwise would end up in the landfill.

As a result his products are generally made entirely from 100% recycled material and every one of his creations is unique—no two are ever the same.

Your Wood Products

Rolling Pin Care

Hand-crafted from oak, maple and and other hardwoods, no two pieces are alike and will last a lifetime. They are finished with mineral oil making them 100% food safe. Wipe clean with a damp cloth after each use. Periodically refresh the wood by reapplying a very thin coat of mineral oil.

Cutting Board Care

  • You can lengthen the life of your cutting board by following these suggestions:
  • Do not allow moisture of any type to stand on wood for long periods of time; this causes the wood to soften and joints to expand.
  • Do not cut fish or fowl directly on you board
  • After using scrape your board with a spatula, gently wash and pat dry
  • Never wash your board with harsh detergents or place into a dishwasher
